The event will be held in Lower Frick Park in the Hollow. Information and a map will be posted in the near future on the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy website. The nature walks sign up is at the intersection of the Falls Ravine Trail and Tranquil Trails, on the grassy area beside Tranquil Trail. There are two and a half days of events with nature walks on the Sunday. Jim Tunney and friends will be representing WPMC and offering 4 walks through the day.
Nature Walks and Hikes
Sunday, April 19th
Every hour between noon and 4:00pm. Sign-in for walks begins at 11:30am.
Mushroom walks at 12pm and 2pm.
These events are rain or shine. In the case of severe weather, check back here for cancellation information.
Get outdoors to enjoy a series of hikes and activities throughout Frick Park led by expert naturalists. Brush up on your tree and mushroom ID skills; learn about ‘critters in the litter’; spot snakes and salamanders; and much more!

Sometimes the address and location information for a meeting point is not 100% accurate. Some parks and meeting point do not have a street address so it is difficult to program the map to point to the exact location. We request that no one hunts a walk or foray location for at least two weeks prior to a walk or foray. It is only through your cooperation that we can have successful walks and forays. All walks & forays will be held rain or shine. Come 15-30 min early and socialize. All walks start on time, so be early, if you are late we will already be in the woods. If you are a club member and have already joined our Facebook Group you can find last minute additions or changes there.
