Mushroom Identification Courses
We are presenting these courses in conjunction with Fern Hollow Nature Center.

The Mushroom Identification to Genus, a day long workshop, is on Saturday Sept. 6, 2008 from 9:30 to 4:30.
Cost is $30 and will include a "Guide to Mushroom Descriptions", a "Key to common Gilled Mushrooms", an extensive handout on over 30 genera, the book "How to Identify Mushrooms to Genus II, an
introduction to microscopy, and lunch.

Introduction to Mushrooms is a 3 hour course on Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008 1 to 4 pm mushroom collection, basic classification and identification, how to do spore prints, Lincoff's 12 mushroom groups,
dangerous mushrooms to avoid, mushroom toxicity, good edible mushrooms and rules to follow to keep out of trouble. The cost is $5.

The Seventh Annual Gary Lincoff Mid-Atlantic Mushroom Foray

This all day foray will be headquartered at Parish Hill, North Park just north of Pittsburgh, PA. The habitats for the foray walks have resulted in well over 100 species each year.

THE PURPOSE
of the Western Pennsylvania Mushroom Club is to promote the enjoyment, study, and exchange of information about wild mushrooms. Everyone who has an interest in wild mushrooms is
welcome to become a member.
We hold nine informative meetings a year and this year we are going to have eighteen mushroom walks or forays to help you learn about mushrooms. There is no better way to learn
mushrooms than to join a mushroom club.
