Western Pennsylvania Mushroom Club
|
Announcements
On Sunday June 14, 2009 the WPMC executive committee heard a proposal from Bob and Ginny Sleigh to start a branch of the Western Pennsylvania Mushroom Club in Indiana County. They related there was considerable interest there in mushrooming and many excellent sites for foraging but it was difficult for people to travel into Pittsburgh. We agreed that it would be beneficial to have the club help them start up an Indiana County branch of the WPMC whose members could receive our newsletter, be welcome to attend our meetings, walks, and major forays as well as develope some local walks and programs of their own. We would also look into scheduling a combined walk or two in Indiana County. Bob and Ginny, as founding members, will handle all the local details and we wish them luck on this new off shoot of the club.
