A small eyelash cup. This was our preferred choice for the orange/redish eyelash cup found in the autumn. On closer analysis of the spores we found that our specimen was not Scutellinia setosa. S. setosa has smooth spores while Scutellinia subhirtella has warts on the spores. The specimen will need to be examined under the microscope to confirm its identify. As we have not confirmed the presence of S. setosa in the area please use Scutellinia subhirtella instead.
