Species not currently on clubs life list:
A Collybia specie was found but could not be identified to the specific specie.

Two mushrooms were found that are not on the Club’s Life List. They were:

Aleurodiscus oakesii (Hophornbeam Disc is the common name in Lincoff’s Audubon Guide) and

Allodus podophylli (Mayapple Rust). Pictures of each are shown.

Comments:
The aleurodiscus oakesii is a tiny crust fungus appearing on Oak Bark. There is a smooth patch of bark where it attacks the tree which is helpful in locating the actual fruiting bodies. Check Michael Kuo’s website, MushroomExpert.com for more details.
