DNA Barcoding workshop presented at NEMF 2017
A presentation from Richard Jacob
There were quite a few talks and workshops at this years NEMF meeting at Stratton Mountain Resort in Stratton Vermont with two or even three scheduled at the same time. At the workshop there was a request to make the slides available to the attendees which we are now doing. This workshop covered more of the nuts and bolts of actually collecting a sample and annotating it along with managing a project. It also introduced the NAMA Mycofloral 2.0 protocol for collecting and vouching specimens. For those that need an introduction to DNA barcoding and the theory behind the technology please check out some of these online resources:
- What Is DNA Barcoding? at Barcode of Life.
- Barcoding 101 at the DNA learning center
- And our own introduction.
