Bermuda triangle

Meet WPMC identifier Richard Jacob at a secret location for a socially distanced walk in Westmoreland County.

Due to social distancing restrictions the number of people on this walk is restricted.

The plan is to meet at at the designated spot and then take a walk through the woods in “family” groups. We will then drop off specimens at a table. The “family” groups can walk past the table in turn and the identifier will give a bit of information about the mushrooms found and answer any questions. The identifier may then stay a bit longer and write up a list of species found.  Face masks should be worn when people are closer together at the very beginning and when dropping off the specimens/walking past the table.

There are no on the day sign ups. If you are interested in this walk please fill out the form. Applications will be selected randomly by computer and the members will be notified 24 hours before the walk. Please do not bring any more people than you specify in the form. If you are selected for a walk you will be excluded from the next draw whatever date that is.

Sign up closed for this walk.

Sometimes the address and location information for a meeting point is not 100% accurate. Some parks and meeting point do not have a street address so it is difficult to program the map to point to the exact location. We request that no one hunts a walk or foray location for at least two weeks prior to a walk or foray. It is only through your cooperation that we can have successful walks and forays. All walks & forays will be held rain or shine. Come 15-30 min early and socialize. All walks start on time, so be early, if you are late we will already be in the woods. You can find last minute additions or changes by going to our Facebook Group.
