Description

Common Name: AKA Hortiboletus campestris

 Found in lawns and roadsides. Flesh bright yellow, stains greenish blue. It’s a small mushroom whose cap never gets bigger than 1-1/2” across. Cap may crack in age, but not as much as fraternus. B. rubellus is similar, but has orange instead of yellow flesh at the base of the stem.
