Description

Common Name: Gray Bolete

 Also known as: Xercomus , Retiboletus  Stem has yellow-brown netting that darkens with contact. Stem bruises yellow. There is a Japanese version (var. fuscus) discovered in the U.S. only on Cape Cod. Var. fuscus has a white/yellow cap flesh that slowly stains red. Likes pine or pine/oak mix.
