Tapinella atrotomentosa

Velvet-footed Pax

Common Name: Velvet-footed Pax

Also known as: Paxillus atrotomentosus Fairly easy to identify as it only grows on stumps and logs from conifers. It has a very nice and strong reaction to Ammonia on the cap and stem staining bright purple.
