The morning started cool for this final BioBlitz of the year, but the day developed into comfortable walking weather. 7 walkers spent about an hour and a half scouring the Southern path along the river. Conditions were fairly dry, but we found plenty of Marasmius felix, the Sycamore-leaf Marasmius that has become the signature species of this park. It was nice to visit with the other taxa experts we’ve come to know from previous BioBlitzes. The food was plentiful, including lots of fruit and burritos from Chipotle.
