Allen Matthews, Director of Sustainable Agriculture with the Falk School of Sustainability at Chatham University will be conduct a workshop on tree selection, log inoculation, and guidelines for growing shiitakes on a scale that fits your interests. Participants will get hands--on experience inoculating logs, and learn the ins and outs of growing your own shiitake mushrooms for fun or profit. Participants will take home an inoculated log to get started!
Cost: $25 for non-Chatham community – paid on day of workshop by check or exact cash. Free for Chatham students and faculty!
