Sometimes the address and location information for a meeting point is not 100% accurate. Some parks and meeting point do not have a street address so it is difficult to program the map to point to the exact location. Click on the link for any additional driving directions and meeting point information to South Park Nature Center.
We request that no one hunts a walk or foray location for at least two weeks prior to a walk or foray. It is only through your cooperation that we can have successful walks and forays. All walks & forays will be held rain or shine. Come 15-30 min early and socialize. All walks start on time, so be early, if you are late we will already be in the woods. If you are a club member and have already joined our Facebook Group you can find last minute additions or changes there.
is this walk still on schedule for this saturday morning?
Thank you:)
Yes, we walk rain or shine. It looks like rain tomorrow. I’ll try to find a shelter where we can look at what we find. We’ll certainly see polypores and maybe enokitake, Deadly Galerina, and some small ascos.
Sounds Awesome! will be my first walk. should i bring anything?
other than a rain coat lol
On the map, I don’t see the Nature Center at 2075 Buffalo Drive.
Looks more like 3764 or so Buffalo Drive at the intersection
with Farmshow Dr. Is that the correct location?
wish I could join but have to work… Seems like it is slow to warm this year.
It must have been called off. Another person and I arrived at the nature center right at 10 and there wasn’t anybody there. Too bad.
it wasn’t called off there was a group of about 10 of us that went with Lamont and we found about 23 species of mushrooms even though we got rained on it was really fun.
Had a blast.
