Westmoreland Bird and Nature Club

Jack and Valerie Baker have been invited by the Westmoreland Bird and Nature Club to lead a mushroom walk July 13th from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the Otto & Magdalene Nature Peserve. A listing of any mushrooms found will be sent to the Westmoreland Land Trust: Location: 13290-13106 Ardara Road, Ardara. PA 15615. GSP coordinates: 40.36105, -79.74410. Directions: From Parkway East (I-376), the intersection of US 30 east/Ardmore Blvd. from Exit 78A – Forest Hills, or by driving 5 1/2 miles south on PA 48 from Exit 8 – Monroeville. At the intersection of PA 48 and US 30, travel east on US 30 for 1/2 mile to make a left onto Leger road. Turn left onto Leger Road through the countryside for 2 miles. Ignore the closed road signs. Look for the Ackerman Preserve sign on the left and park at the end of the grassy strip between two houses.
