After a successful day at Cook Forest the WPMC followed it up with the main Lincoff Foray day in North Park. About 150 mushroom hunters roamed the park on 6 organized walks. Although there was very little rain fall in the weeks preceding the foray a surprisingly wide range of species were found, although none were present in great numbers. There were 5 species that were new to the club including an Agaricus, Agaricus aproximaos, identified by our guest mycologist and Agaricus expert Rick Kerrigan. You can find pictures from the event on our facebook page and pictures of some of the mushrooms in the iNaturalist project for the event.
