Club mycologists La Monte Yarroll and Richard Jacob manned the table at this years Phipps BioBlitz. There was a steady stream of visitors in between the rain showers. In the morning there were 20 or so specimens from Hardwood Acres for people to see before the Lunchtime walk. After the walk we had over 20 more. Only the species found on the BioBlitz walk are reported here. The was a great turnout for the walk and we went down into Panther Hollow. On the return journey a group of us split off to walk under the oaks in Schenley Park and found a number of Amanita’s, Russula’s and other species. We took some of the large Amanita amerirubescens home and “hatched them” over the next couple of days.

Thanks to Cherie Cornmesser and Cindi Linus for photos and additional iNat entries.
