Species list from Riverview Park on 09/29/2019

An enthusiastic group joined WPMC Mycologist Jim Tunney to go mushroom hunting at the Riverview Park Day. It’s been a dry September but a number of species were found along with a new one for the club, Xanthoporia radiata. Xanthoporia radiata looks a bit like Oak bracket (Inonotus dryadeus) but often grows above the base of the tree and is normally associated with Alder.
