WPMC members will have the opportunity to vote on a new slate of officers for 2017. This year, the position of Corresponding Secretary will be replaced with a new officer, North American Mycological Association (NAMA) Trustee. According to WPMC’s Bylaws, the responsibilities of the NAMA Trustee are as follows: “The NAMA Trustee shall prepare a report of Club activities (September–August) for approval of the Board of Directors and submission to NAMA, attend NAMA Trustee meetings, and provide the Board a report of proceedings within one (1) month of meeting. Trustee shall be elected to a two (2) year term elected in even number years beginning in 2016. The NAMA Trustee shall serve no more than two consecutive terms. The NAMA Trustee must be a NAMA member in good standing during term of Trusteeship. ”The NAMA Trustee will be reimbursed for travel expenses to and from the NAMA Foray but will not be reimbursed for either NAMA dues or for NAMA Foray registration or housing. The 2017 NAMA Foray will be held at Lakewoods Resort on Lake Namakagon, Wisconsin on September 7-10, 2017.
WPMC members will also vote on the traditional officers: President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. These officers will serve for a period of one year commencing January 1 and, with the exception of the Treasurer, cannot serve more than three consecutive years in the same position.
