Monthly meeting The “Safe Seven” Mushrooms

WPMC MEETING CANCELLED. In light of recent guidance from local, state, and other officials regarding Covid-19, the Western Pennsylvania Mushroom Club has decided to cancel its monthly meeting, which was scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, at 7:00 p.m. We hope to make the planned presentations for that meeting available on our website in the near future.

The “Safe Seven” Mushrooms

WPMC Mycologist La Monte Yarroll will present the “Safe Seven” mushrooms from “Start Mushrooming: The Reliable Way to Forage” (2nd edition) by Stan Tekiela. These seven are Morels, Shaggy Manes, Chickens, Oysters, Puffballs, Chanterelles, and Hens. Copies of “Start Mushrooming” will be available for purchase at the meeting.
