Two projects from WPMC are mentioned in two articles on DNA barcoding and Mycoflora. The first is in FUNGI Magazine and titled “Mushroom Citizen Science in USA: From Species Lists to Mycofloras 2.0“. The second, very similar article, is in the NAMA newsletter “The Mycophile 57:3 May/June 2017“.

Pittsburgh Magazine Names WPMC “Best of the ‘Burgh 2017” in the Business & Education section.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette featured WPMC in its May 13 Magazine section with an article titled “Exploring Sycamore Island: Western PA Mushroom Club examines the Allegheny River island”. Outdoor Editor John Hayes interviewed WPMC Mycologist Jim Tunney in anticipation of our Sycamore Island walk with Allegheny Land Trust on May 21 2017.
