About 20 people joined walk leader and club treasurer Barbara DeRiso for a walk at Camp Guyasuta. We started finding slime molds on wood next to the car park before the walk even began. Due to the damp environment of the ravine there were quite a lot of slime mold species. We also found a couple of larger polypores found but it was still too early (or cool in the ravine) for many of the mycorrhizal species that are found with oaks.

One interesting crust species we found was Phanerochaete chrysorhiza. Looking at the species lists from past walks there have only been two reports from 2016 so it is nice to find it again at a different location.
