About 20 people showed up for delightful Fall weather at Chatham’s remote farm campus. It was a mix of Chatham students and WPMC members. Conditions were relatively dry and large mushrooms were relatively sparse on the ground, but we still found good diversity.
We had a great team of identifiers: Jim Tunney, Sarah Banach, Judith Mackenroth, Stephen Bucklin, Bob Boziljevac, and your correspondent, La Monte H.P. Yarroll. Everybody put in a great effort to identify as many collections as we could.
Judith Mackenroth introduced me to Trichaptum subchartaceum, a Violet Tooth which is much larger and more flexible than the familiar T. biforme.
