A surprisingly large group made an appearance on this dreary rainy Sunday at Hillman.
Over 40 species were identified by club identifiers and mycologists. Most notably was quite possibly the largest Postia caesia ever seen by man, a handful of Pisolithus arhizus which is fairly uncommon in our region, a couple nifty Rhizopogon rubescens masquerading as puffballs, and a Pseudoboletus parasiticus parasitizing Scleroderma citrina while itself being parasitized by Hypomyces chrysospermus.
Thank you to everyone who came out and especially the club members helping me tremendously at the ID tables.

Tubakia dryina
Apparently Pisolithus arhizus is a European name, and Pisolithus tinctorius is illegitimate as the name had been used elsewhere so Pisolithus arenarius is the current best name to use. See the mushroomexpert page for more details.
