Here are the finds for the sixteenth annual Lincoff foray. The finds are split up by individual walks. Due to the number of participants some of the walks did not occur or only with a few foragers. The weather had been fairly dry for the two weeks prior to the foray and the number of larger fungi was less than normal. However there was a good variety of species and we could send a bit of time on some of the unusual species and also on the Cook Forest State Park collection. One of the interesting finds from Hartwood acres was Akanthomyces aculeatus a moth parasite. Another unusual find was the brightly colored Phanerochaete crassa crust found on the North Park Devils Elbow walk. All in all a good haul considering the conditions.
Species were identified by the guest Mycologists, Gary Lincoff and Nick Money, the club Mycologists Jim Tunney, La Monte Yarroll, and the clubs identifiers: Jack Baker, Fluff Berger, Dick Dougall, Richard Jacob, Blain Sanner, Bob Sleigh and John Stuart. Individual attendees may have also identified their own or other finds.
All species list entered by La Monte Yarroll.
