Last years pre-foray walk at Cook Forest State Park was dry, this year conditions were perfect. There was a both a huge variety and an abundance of specimens in the forest. We walked in two different areas, Hemlock old growth and Oak forest, and found species characteristic of both areas. There were lots of species that we do not normally see on the walks closer to Pittsburgh which made the identification all the more fun.
Species list entered by La Monte Yarroll. Species identified by Gary Lincoff, Walt Sturgeon, La Monte Yarroll, Garrett Taylor, Jim Tunney, Richard Jacob and others.
