A crowd of roughly 22 people(all non-club members) and ideal weather lead to a great walk in the old growth woods of Heart’s Content Recreation Site. The area provided a great habitat for uncommonly found species, with some only occasionally found and identified on iNaturalist. Despite the dry weather in the weeks preceding the walk, the cool shade of the large trees helped the woods retain some moisture in an otherwise very dry early autumn season.
