A nice sunny day for the French celebration of Bastille Day. Little did we know the French would be making a weekend of it by winning the soccer World Cup on Sunday . About 30 members walked in a couple of locations at North Park. The forest had dried out so not many Chanterelles were found and few if any that were good enough for collecting. However, a wide range of other species were found but none in great numbers. Scott Pavelle taught people how to identify all the different boletes that were brought in. Richard Jacob found a perfect fresh White-Pored Chicken of the Woods and a couple of people found oyster mushrooms.
Species list entered by John Stuart. Identifiers John Stuart, Dick Dougall, Scott Pavelle, Adam Haritan and Richard Jacob
