Wintergreen Gorge is a portion of Penn State Erie’s campus that is open to the public for hiking, mountain biking, and other forms of outdoor recreation. A group of about 15 people met at the parking lot off of Cooper Road and enjoyed perfect weather as we strolled beneath towering hemlock & broadleaf trees. Despite getting some rain the days leading up to this walk, dry conditions the month prior made our finds few and far between.
