About 100 mushroom hunters gathered in Cook Forest State Park as part of a special Friday foray as part of the Lincoff foray. The weather had been dry but even so a large number of species were found. Garry Lincoff estimates that we increased the known species count for Cook Forest from 165 to about 230 species although there are likely to be more than 500 species at Cook Forest in all. Not many pictures as I went the “wrong” way and only found dry areas. If you have some picture that you would like to add to the post let me know.
Species list entered by La Monte Yarroll. Identified by the clubs mycologists, guest mycologists, club identifiers and Garry Lincoff.
