We had such a great time at Hartwood Acres and found an amazing variety of mushrooms. Thirty-five people showed up on a Saturday morning and we headed into the woods on the amphitheater side, since the road to the Mansion parking lot was closed off due to repairs. Despite my initial fears of not finding any smooth chanterelles (Cantharellus lateritius) (since the usually grow towards the other side of the park), we found many! The identification part was cut short by a massive rain storm, but everyone seemed to have had a great time!
