It was a beautiful sunny day in North Park where we held the 2017 Lincoff foray. This years foray was the biggest foray that we have held. Conditions were fairly dry and warm in the run up to the foray and we only collected species in and around North Park. This led to less total species than the last few years but no where near the least collected. Part of the reason is that fir the last couple of years we have also collected in Cook Forest on the Friday prior to the foray which has some different environments and hence different species to those found locally. Despite the weather and the restricted location there were still 119 species identified and reported on this list along with a number of unidentified species. Of the species listed here we managed to sample 115 species for their DNA.
As always we would like to thank the organizers, guest speakers, walk leaders, mycologists and identifiers, cooks and all the volunteers that made the event happen.
Species list entered by La Monte Yarroll. Species were identified by Garry Lincoff, club mycologists and identifiers.
